The November 5th U.S. Presidential election results revealed some strange but inevitable tendencies towards the monopolism of politics, which of course is set up for the profits of the minority rich.
Some known public figures switching practically or temporarily their sides to the other major Party to accomplish their economic and political goals.
Trump’s protectionist and populist policies on trade and immigration angered the Neo-Liberals on both sides and made them publicly reveal the pros and cons of the Trump team.
Trump’s plan to support domestic products by imposing increased tariffs on imported goods, would make domestic made products cheaper and raise the government revenues of course for a short time. This policy has been welcomed by many Americans. On the other hand, reforming the immigration program and preventing illegal immigration to the US, would flip cheap labor to the jobless Americans.
In contrary, Neo-Liberals want free flow of capital wherever it provides more profits. They opened the borders to the needy immigrants to extract more benefits from their slave labor wage. Worthwhile to note that the current stage of capitalism inevitably trends towards the globalization of the industry and trade. However, both policies of the Trump team, and their Neo-Liberal opponents is set up for further economic disparity between the rich and the poor.
Some famous warmongers and genocidal Republicans, to say the least, the Bush and Cheney families, as well as some pro “democracy” Hollywoodian celebrities, the majority of corporate media and broadcasters supported the pro-war and genocidal Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. Unfortunately, on the left side, Senator Bernie Sanders endorsed Kamala Harris, and President Lula of Brazil also supported her. Their reasoning was to support “democracy” which would be under threat by the Trump Administration.
From the Democratic Party figures like Dennis Kucinich, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard supported the Republican candidate Donald Trump, as he often said: “if I was president, Wars in Ukraine, and Gaza/Palestine wouldn’t happen”. While Kamala Harris’ policies would be the continuation of Joe Biden’s; fueling the Ukraine War and sending more and more arms and tax-payers money to Israel, while ignoring its horrible genocide in Gaza/Palestine.
Capitalism in its highest stage (imperialism) trends towards monopolism. Monopolism is the result of continuous soft merger of competing enterprises, and harsh devouring of smaller corporations by the larger ones.
Monopolism not only involves all aspects of the economy, but also all the spheres of society, including politics.
Recent US Elections Revealed that the two major Parties are merging, leading to a one party system, which would ultimately serve profits, and not in the benefit of the people.
It is worth saying that some elements of progressivism are developing inside both Parties which is promising. But these elements do not grow up to realize their views in the unfriendly ground of deep state capitalism. There is, more than ever, the need to establish a grand pro-people Party in the United States of America!
